Summer Youth Drop in Center Coordinator

Work directly with corps officers in developing programs for drop in center? Must be willing to lead youth bible studies, and utilize Christian material for those that come through the drop in center? Facilitate Growing Up Wild Material for young people who come to the drop in center? Make arrangements for special activities with youth ? different themes each week, prep for each day, plan end of the summer fun day, etc. ? Help maintain the Facebook page for the mid-day drop in center? Coordinate meal information and transportation information with the YWCA? Generate statistical information for monthly reports? Other duties as assigned
Education: A minimum of High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Individual must have specific knowledge and work experience withSalvation Army Corps programs and activities. Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to work with others (staff, volunteers, program participants) and get along while accomplishing the necessary tasks and program requirements. Also, individuals seeking this position must be able to provide credible leadership to volunteers of varying skills and abilities. Individual must be willing to become familiar with and support the mission of The Salvation Army; must be able to pass background check. Must obtain CPR/AED Certification and Safe from Harm training.
Physical Demands/ Work Environment: This Position is required to do light to moderate physical work. In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the individual is regularly required to remain stationary for some periods of time, use hands and fingers, communicate, move, occasionally required to position self to stoop, kneel or crouch, frequently required to reach with and use arms and hands as required in using standard office equipment and a PC. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to focus. The work environment for this position includes an office environment with a low noise level.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
